If you don’t have a separate home office and you desperately want one, then today I’m sharing advice to help you convert an area in your home into your business office workspace.
Your office workspace is the place you get down to business, get things done and take actions to keep income flowing in.
It’s a very special place where your mind associates work with helping others and making money…as efficiently, peacefully, and happily as possible!
Here are 3 steps to help you convert a space in your home into a business workspace:
#1. Select an area in your home where you already have OR can create open space to convert into a business workspace.
Ideally, look for a space that has nearby storage options, like a closet, furniture with drawers, or shelves where you can store business related items within reach. Sometimes one corner or wall in a guest room gives you more privacy. Nooks and closets are easily converted into office workspaces.
#2. Bring in a slim desk, if the space does not have a table, counter or other desk-like surface you can work from.
A console table, entry way table or sofa table works well in small spaces. If you are working from a sofa, then a coffee table with drawers, lift top table top, or cubbies will help you keep things tucked away, yet fairly accessible.
#3. Remove personal belongings from the area you’re converting into your money-making space.
Organize business office supplies, financial paperwork, reference books/materials, biz projects, and client information into the workspace. Look for containers that help you organize everything without taking up a lot of your living space.
While every office will differ in size and shape, and will need different organizing supplies depending on the type of business you’re running, you can take advantage of a complimentary JumpStart Strategy Session so I can give you some quick tips – specifically for your space!!!!
