Growing up I was always cleaning. 6 kids worth of cleaning! Everyone in the house felt and behaved differently. It was like breathing with no worries. Playing, focusing, getting dressed for school. It really impacted every area of life. We were kinder to each other. Less fatigued. More present as our best selves.

I’d also sketch and design my perfect adult home. As an adult, and lots of experience living, I designed a home that had perfect storage systems for our life. I dreamed of book writing weekends with other female entrepreneurs…kids and their families visiting… holidays to host both sides of the family.

A home environment that that wouldn’t wreck my nervous system! And, instead, fulfill my values.

As far as entrepreneurship, the productivity and focus skyrockets. You can make those lists and check them twice. Being streamlined redirects energy from distractions and visual overwhelm into a mentally clear direction. You get to choose that lifestyle!

My journey into the professional organizing world started when I was child trying to stay sane, living with a very messy and very large family. I learned that life is incredibly better when your surfaces are clear, you toss most of your stuff, and you have systems in place so things are easy to get to, easy to put away, easy to find and easy to replace.

As a young adult, friends and family often asked for my help (and still do to this day!). But, it wasn’t until I became a Mom who wanted to leave her scrubs behind to be with her children and have the freedom to hop in the car and travel around the families schedule – flexibility and spontaneity were my core loves. It was obvious to every once else what service I should offer to the world. So, I began my journey as a professional organizer.

After over 15 years in the professional organizing industry in Louisiana, and internationally, I’ve had now had the opportunity to transform my business demographics many times over – residential, business, private contractors, inside a chemical plant, home based entrepreneurs, small biz brick and mortar, doctors, attorneys, engineers, couples, retirees, and more!

My latest endeavors have been contracting with national relocation companies who are relocating upper level associates to a new location.

Fun fact: I once turned down a spot on “Wife Swap” because, well, I’m not exactly fond of kids. And trying to organize them can make me crazy. I can give you guidance, but that’s as far as I like to work with children. Kind-hearted to them, yes, but not my cup of tea.

Speaking of kids, from giving my daughters (now 2 adults! and a 2nd grader!) closet makeovers to creating designated stations in our playroom, I’ve always had a knack for decluttering and creating functional spaces. I have a natural talent for making things neat, pretty, and functional. Super functional.

Over the years, I’ve delved into the world of professional organizing, including being a part of the National Association, being contacted by media as a resource, being interviewed, writing and giving presentations on the topic, even though I never liked the term “professional organizer” itself. For me, it’s all about cleaning up the mess and getting rid of excess stuff to make life easier. I’ve had the pleasure of helping individuals and corporate clients alike transform their spaces, boost productivity, and hit goals.

Through coaching programs, personal services, and corporate contracts, I’ve honed my skills and earned various titles like “The Well-Organized Entrepreneur” and “Streamlining & Spatial Strategist.” While extreme perfectionism isn’t my thing (beads, ugh!), I thrive on creating organized, streamlined environments that foster success and productivity.
