Is your home always spic and span clean?
That’s a big fat NO. I wish!! I have to do every single thing I do with you. I’m human, too. Dishes pile up. Laundry doesn’t end. The floors need cleaning. Donations keep going out the door. Routines for maintaining things are in place. The difference is this: if things get out of hand around my place, I make it a point to handle them as soon as I can. I like to live in productive harmony. My sanity is far more important than storing things I don’t want, need or have the space for. It’s easy to keep spic and span. I can clean my place in record time.
Why can’t I keep a routine?
You haven’t nailed the routine that works for you. It has to have a combination of accomplishing tasks in the most natural timeline that works for you AND it has to be easy to accomplish quickly. A checklist can go a long way if you stick to it. Consistency is key. Do it again and again, forcing yourself, because repetition will turn into a new habit. Then the routine becomes more effortless. Try to work with your natural energy levels and within a timeframe BEFORE something gets too out of control and daunting.
Do you work with hoarders?
NO. I love a great before and after transformation, and would empty a hoarder home to make it beautiful again, but working with true hoarders is a bit trickier. They don’t usually want to let go of much and a therapists or something traumatic happening is what sends them for help. If you don’t like to let go, then we won’t work out. The name of the game is “letting go”. It’s the secret to a more organized, streamlined lifestyle.
I work with people whose homes look amazing when you walk in. I have to say “where’s it at? why did you call me?” Then, they walk me thru the home… showing me the scary room. The embarrassing room. The office of nightmares. Or perhaps they open closet doors, off limit rooms in the house, or the area they emptied their closet and bathroom contents during a remodel. People who take care of their things and home, but have messy areas that have gone out of control.
You disappeared for years, where did you go?
Ohhh, I went thru hell. Pure hell. On the silver lining side, I’ve done some amazing road trips, weekend getaways, first class flying, and gloried in the awe taking moments of seeing Utah (who knew?? I thought I was on the moon), California (sequoias, Death Valley, San Diego retreat, and more!), Canada (Banff, a winter wonderland of beauty and glaciers), the North East, Tennessee, Carolinas. Rode horseback, took lots of photos, and have been blessed with people and experiences I wouldn’t have had, had I not gone down the road that I couldn’t see where it would take me.
But, to answer your question a little better, I went thru some challenging times in my life, and emotional hell followed. I moved several times (revamped a few homes during my healing stages… lived a small life, but transformed each environment until I was feeling like myself again.) OH, and I had a baby at age 44! I’m single mumming it now. My older girls are full fledged adults – living life. I’m so proud of them! What else can I tell you? I disappeared, someone posed as me online, and then I eventually got my life back together, claimed my website back (but all my pages, articles and work is GONE.) Still working on unleveling my life again and again 8 years later!! I’m doing well despite the aging and distress marks that etched into my forehead (jeez!). Thanks for asking. Some of my hardest, most intensely confusing moments were salved over by people like you reaching out and saying things like “those who know you, know who you are. We are holding space for you. When you are back, we’ll be here waiting for you.” So heart touching. Truly. Thanks for holding space for me when my life had a “plot twist!” and another “plot twist” and yet another “plot twist!” One day I may share some of the temporary “lower in life” places I lived, and what I did with them… all while processing changes in life.
Do you help people get their homes ready to sell?
YESSSS! Absolutely. 100%. I come in and help declutter spaces, make your home ready to put on the market (your real estate agent can pop in for pictures for the listing), and the goal is to be competitive, prepared, and sell your home faster. Check out this interview I did with this Top Producing Real Estate Agent. I worked with she and her husband personally when they were relocating and prepping their home to sell. She’s full of information to help you sale your home. You’ll get tips to help you even if you don’t hire professionals. I’ve worked in the real estate industry prepping homes for sale for over 8 years and I also contract independently with a relocation company whose top corporate employees are being transferred to a new location in the United States. The homes have to sell. I enjoy the real estate industry and professionals who understand the importance of having a home ready to sell.
Once I’m organized do you provide services to maintain all the hard work?
I can definitely help you maintain an organized home. I’ve worked with many clients in person or via video calls for YEARS. It doesn’t end. EVER. Unless you stop living!
Do you travel to clients?
I have and will travel to clients! If we are a great fit, I will drive or fly to you. We can chat about options once I know more about your needs. At different times of the year I’m in different locations: lately I’m between Louisiana, Texas, Tennessee, and Florida. I’ll pretty much fly anywhere, as long as I have childcare for my youngest. I also offer video call session packages for local or long distance clients. If you can do things yourself – with my guidance- we may be a great fit and it’s less expensive. My clients blow my mind with what they accomplish when we work together. You’ll do the same. Tell me what you’re up to, send pics, let’s hop on a call. Just reach out and we’ll make decisions from there. No pressure. No obligations. Just chat first.
You used to have group programs, do you still offer the 7 Day JumpStart Your Productivity Intensive?
I loved hosting that one!! The “Closet LOVE” 6 week program was another favorite. You guys are sooo inspiring. I stopped hosting the Get More Done in ONE Week Than You Have ALL Month: JumpStart Your Productivity Intensive and have wanted to do it again SO MANY TIMES. I’m now at a place where I’m stable, loving home and life, and willing to give it a go again in the near future. For now, I had the calls and instructions translated into a Tutorial E-Guide. You can access it for a minimal fee, instead of the $197 fee. This one is the most popular guidance I created that gets asked about over and over again. That’s why I translated the audio calls into an easy to follow Tutorial E-Guide. It’s so simple, it’s powerful. (I’m so happy you made it to this page!)
